Frequently Asked Questions

  • OPAL stands for Optimize Performance, Achieve Longevity. We accomplish this through movement therapy. Movement therapy is a hybrid of orthopedic physical therapy, performance training, and injury prevention that helps people understand how to move better. We use hands-on manual therapy techniques, corrective exercise, strength training, and lots of education to help our clients learn how to move better.

  • We work with active adults who are motivated to learn more about how to move better.

We work with clients who are ready to invest time and energy in their health, body, and understanding in order to relieve pain, improve performance, and prevent injuries.

We help people who are willing to work as hard as we are to help them reach their goals.

  • OPAL is a cash-pay, out-of-network provider for all insurance companies.

This allows us to work one-one-one with our clients and offer more support and resources between sessions.

We provide receipts for all visits so if you have out-of-network PT coverage you may be eligible for some reimbursement depending on your specific insurance plan. Here is an Insurance Benefits Worksheet that may help you when reaching out to your insurance provider to see if you have any out-of-network benefits.

We accept credit cards, cash, check, or FSA/HSA.

  • Cash-based PT has a lot of benefits compared to traditional insurance-based PT.

With cash-based, you get to work one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy for the entire session, unlike insurance models where your provider juggles multiple clients at the same time, you get handed off to an aide or exercise technician, or you are assigned to do exercises on your own.

With cash-based PT, there are no limitations on what type of services (i.e. physical therapy, performance training, injury prevention) we can provide, the quantity of the services or the duration we feel you need them. However, with insurance-based, your diagnosis and insurance plan dictate how long we can work with you and what services we can provide.

Being cash-based allows us to use our vast knowledge and training to give you the highest level of care in direct reference to your goals.

  • In-person and digital evaluations are $249.

After that, rates vary depending on if you purchase single sessions or a package/membership.

Each session ranges from $199-$249 depending on what works best for you and your goals.

  • All of our providers are licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy, which means they completed an undergraduate degree followed by a clinical doctorate in physical therapy followed by obtaining their physical therapy license.

  • Research shows that cash-based physical therapy can actually cost less than going through insurance.

With insurance-based clinics you may go 1-2x per week for 8-10 weeks. Your physical therapist may work with you and multiple clients in the same hour. Your time with your physical therapist may be interrupted or cut short. The rest of the sessions may be spent with a rehab aide or technician who does not have specialized training who will teach you on how to perform the same cookie-cutter exercises with no individualization based on you and your goals.

OPAL will require less overall sessions to meet your goals and greater satisfaction than traditional insurance PT because of the increased time spent on your care. Come experience what physical therapy is really like with individualized, genuine, one-on-one care of a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

  • Yes! We work with clients in many other states and different countries.

  • If you have symptoms, we can treat you for 15 days without a prescription for physical therapy. After 15 days, Texas law requires a referral from a physician, nurse practitioner, or chiropractor to continue physical therapy. Please visit our Referral for PT Information sheet for more detail.

If you are asymptomatic and are receiving health and wellness or sports performance services, then you do not need a prescription for physical therapy.

  • During your evaluation, your provider will meet with you 1:1 to discuss your medical history, activities, and goals.

Your provider will evaluate your functional movements, range of motion, strength, and mobility.

Your provider will identify the source of the problem, build you a plan to crush your goals, and help you start implementing solutions!
