I've worked with Opal for 9 months and recommend them wholeheartedly. Dr. Riggins has fixed my problems and taught me how to get stronger so they won't come back. It's especially difficult to find a physical therapist who understands the issues that folks who run might face and who take the time to unravel problems and address them at the root. If that's what you're looking for this is your team.

I highly recommend OPAL! I saw Dr. Evan for an evaluation and he honestly changed my life. I have had a weak left hand (and wrist and elbow and shoulder) for years now. I saw a different PT several years ago for forearm and wrist pain and he didn't change anything over the many sessions we had. I came to believe that this is just how I am: a person lacking fine motor skills, with an inability to stabilize my joints. I had such a negative story that I told myself about my left arm. My "dumb" arm. I showed Dr. Evan how in quadruped position by left elbow is flimsy. He listened to my concerns and did some testing, concluding that my nerves were trapped and he brought out an anatomy book to show me. He did a few chiropractic adjustments and some manual therapy. When I returned to quadruped position I didn't even recognize my elbow joint! It actually was stable! I instantly started to cry. I was so relieved and happy. I had so much negative self talk wrapped up in that arm, as well as some belief that there was just something wrong with me and I would never be strong. But nope! Just some pesky trapped nerves. I am so grateful. He showed me some moves to help keep the nerves from becoming trapped again. It was truly a great experience.

If you’re looking for high-quality physical therapy tailored to your individual needs— look no further! Initially I came to Opal Movement Therapy for back pain. My pain would interfere with some plans that I had in the next few months and was keeping me for doing the things I enjoyed. Dr. Evan was able to quickly work to resolve my pain and teach me how to prevent recurrences. Now we are working towards goals that include my strength training and improved longevity! I can already see the difference in the quality of my workouts. Worth every penny! Dr. Evan and the team at Opal are standouts among providers and PTs!

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from active adults near Wells Branch about getting started, our approach, and what to expect.

Do you accept insurance?

No, we're a cash-based practice. We provide detailed receipts for you to submit for potential reimbursement, and we accept HSA/FSA. Payment plans are also available to help manage costs.

What's different about your approach?

We focus on one-on-one coaching with fellowship-trained expertise. Instead of just treating symptoms, we help you understand your movement, build strength strategically, and develop tools to prevent future issues.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what you're working on and your goals. Some people see progress in a few weeks, while others benefit from longer support. We'll create a personalized plan after your initial assessment.

Is dry needling available as a single service?

We use dry needling as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, not as a standalone quick fix. Real progress comes from improving movement quality and building capacity over time.

Can I work with you remotely?

Yes. We offer remote movement coaching and programming for those who prefer virtual sessions or live outside the Wells Branch area.
